Non-league Histon have their dream, money-spinning second round FA Cup tie as they prepare to host one-time mighty Leeds United on November 30.

Gary McAllister's men will make their way to the Glassworld Stadium at the end of the month after seeing off Northampton 5-2 in last night's first round replay at Sixfields.

Indeed, Histon will be hoping for double celebration by going top of the Blue Square Premier Division with a victory at Stevenage this evening.

And Stutes' boss Steve Fallon is delighted at the prospect of a televised clash with the League One giants.

"It's just massive – it's going to be a great day. I think all the fans and the people at the club were hoping it would be Leeds and it's going to be a game that we can enjoy and use to test ourselves," said Fallon.

"And the media coverage we will get will be phenomenal and it will do Histon Football Club a power of good."

Promotion

But before becoming swept up by more FA Cup fever, Fallon is aiming to edge his side a step closer to promotion to the Football League by taking Histon to the top of the Blue Square Premier League for the first time.

He added: "Stevenage aren't a bad side and they have picked themselves up recently and they also have two of the best attacking players in this division in Mitchell Cole and Steve Morison.

"So it will be a big test for us and a good achievement to go there and win the game – and if it means we go top of the table then great."

McAllister, meanwhile, is looking forward to visiting Histon in the second round and is adamant that the FA Cup is not a distraction to Leeds' promotion hopes.

He added: "It's a competition I'm fond of and we want to progress and do as well as we can in it. The game at Histon is a classic FA Cup tie, but we'll be giving them every respect and I'll be going to watch them before we play them."
